Chief Clinical Officer
Larry McFarland is a military veteran with four years of service in the United States Air Force in military police. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from the University of West Florida.
Larry McFarland began his employment with Bridgeway Center, Inc. in 1986 as a Technician in the Crisis Stabilization Unit. He worked in various positions of ever-increasing levels of responsibility during the next ten years. He was the Inpatient/Community Services Programs Director. In 1999 he was then promoted to the Outpatient Counseling Services Program Director. Larry was promoted to the position of Human Resources Program Director in 2004. Larry was promoted to Human Resources Officer and Corporate Vice-President of Employee Services in 2006. From 2011 until 2013, he served as the Clinical Advisor to the CEO. In April 2013, Larry was transferred to Clinical Services to serve as the Clinical Officer.
Before joining the staff at Bridgeway, Larry worked in adult and children’s inpatient psychiatric treatment units of private for-profit hospitals and as a county youth shelter worker.
Larry McFarland is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). In January 2010, Larry earned his national Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Larry provides specialty training in Preventing Workplace Violence for major employers.
