Governor Appoints Bonnie Barlow to Florida Rehabilitation Council

Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is proud to announce that President and Chief Executive Officer Bonnie Barlow has been appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Rehabilitation Council, effective May 2, 2025.

Barlow joins a distinguished group of 12 appointees selected to support the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in its mission to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve employment and independence. The Florida Rehabilitation Council works to ensure that the voices of those served by vocational rehabilitation programs are heard and represented.

In addition to her leadership at BCI, Barlow currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, further exemplifying her dedication to community and economic development in the region.

With 40 years of service at Bridgeway Center and nearly seven years as CEO, Barlow has been instrumental in expanding behavioral health and social services across Okaloosa County. Her achievements include the launch of critical initiatives such as the Okaloosa County Pre-Trial Diversion Program, an Outpatient Detox Unit, and the Opioid Medication Assistance Treatment (MAT) program. Under her leadership, BCI continues to innovate and respond to the evolving needs of the community.
