Bridgeway Center, Inc. proudly celebrated Larry McFarland's 40th Anniversary with a special luncheon on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at The Place on Beal. The event honored four decades of dedicated service and recognized Larry's lasting impact on Bridgeway Center, the behavioral health profession, and the Northwest Florida community.
Family, friends, current and former associates, members of the Bridgeway Center Board of Trustees, and community partners gathered to celebrate Larry's remarkable career and the countless lives he has influenced throughout the past 40 years.
Since joining Bridgeway Center in 1986, Larry has become known as a compassionate leader, mentor, clinician, and advocate for individuals and families facing behavioral health and substance use challenges. Throughout his career, he has played a vital role in the organization's growth, helping expand services, strengthen clinical programs, mentor future leaders, and build lasting partnerships across the community. His commitment to excellence and unwavering compassion have left an enduring mark on Bridgeway Center and the thousands of individuals who have sought hope and healing through its programs.
The celebration featured heartfelt tributes from community leaders who spoke about Larry's leadership, integrity, and service, including Angie Bobo Onianwa, Chair of the Bridgeway Center Board of Trustees; The Honorable JB Whitten, Mayor of the City of Crestview; Chief Robert Bage of the Fort Walton Beach Police Department; and Ted Corcoran, President and CEO of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The program was led by Bonnie Barlow, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bridgeway Center, who reflected on Larry's extraordinary career and his profound influence on the organization, its associates, and the communities it serves. Current and former members of the Bridgeway Center Board of Trustees also attended to recognize this significant milestone.
