This prestigious recognition highlights Roberta’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and contributions to the mission and values of BCI.

The announcement was made following a thorough review by BCI’s Executive Leadership Team on December 2, 2024, who praised Roberta’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families in our community.

A Legacy of Dedication and Impact

Roberta’s contributions to mental health initiatives extend far beyond her role at BCI. As a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, she serves on the Board of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and actively participates in events such as the Out of the Darkness Walks. She also represents BCI at the BRAVE Summit and the Pensacola Mental Health Summit, raising awareness and fostering collaboration for better community mental health services.

Her dedication to youth is equally inspiring. Roberta invests her time and expertise in programs like Okaloosa Academy Charter School, championing academic success and promoting mental health education.

In her role as Director of DCFS, Roberta leads with compassion and innovation. She works tirelessly to ensure seamless transitions of care for youth and families, providing individualized support that aligns with BCI’s mission. Her team members frequently cite her mentorship, long hours, and tireless enthusiasm as key drivers of their success.

Recognition and Celebration

Roberta’s achievements were celebrated at BCI’s Annual Holiday Party on December 6, 2024, where she was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a monetary reward. She will receive further recognition at the President/Chief Executive Officer’s (CEO) All Associates Meeting on January 14, 2025, where she will be honored with a trophy and a personalized plaque. The plaque will be proudly displayed in the Catherine Berridge Education Room (CBER) at BCI’s Hospital Drive location.
