Shannon Brunson was born and raised in Niceville, attended the University of West Florida, and obtained licensure as a mental health counselor in 1997. She has primarily in community mental health with short periods of working in private practice and with the Department of Juvenile Justice. Shannon holds several certifications or endorsements that include Child Parent Psychotherapy, Nurturing Parenting, Circle of Security, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), The Seven Challenges, Fidelity Wraparound, and Conscious Discipline. As the current Vice President of Family Wellness at Bridgeway Center she is active with the Early Childhood Court, Okaloosa County School system, and the Early Learning Coalition with the focus on improving the lives of our Littles. She oversees several programs that focus on improving the lives of families involved in the Child welfare system as well as the Community Action Treatment Team that focuses on improving lives of families and teens in the community.
