Position Summary:
Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking applicants who want to work in an outpatient setting for adults, children, family, Mental Health (MH) and Substance Abuse (SA) services. Applicants must be outgoing, like working with the public, and welcome BCI’s clients cheerfully while providing superior customer service. Must have the ability to multi-task and always remain professional to ensure that each client walks away having had a positive and helpful therapeutic experience.
The Access Engagement Specialist will orient new clients, maintain the BCI waitlist for services, coordinate initial face-to-face sessions, coordinate community wellness checks, and provide backup services.
Applicants must be outgoing and enjoy working with the public, professional, and para-professional team. Have the ability to collaborate and communicate with BCI departments and external stakeholders. Must be able to multi-task and remain professional at all times to ensure that each client has a positive and helpful therapeutic experience.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School (HS) Diploma OR GED.
Bilingual/bicultural English and Spanish preferred (not required).

Applicant must be able to pass an Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level II background check (Clearinghouse Education and Awareness Website: https://info.flclearinghouse.com), drug screen, and a Tuberculosis (TB) test. Applicant must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and have a valid Florida Driver’s License with no more than three (3) points on their driving record to be insured under BCI’s automobile insurance policy.

Duties / Responsibilities: Some of the job tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide Orientation to new clients.
- Maintain the BCI Waitlist for services.
- Coordinate initial face-to-face sessions.
- Coordinate community wellness checks for no-shows.
- Provide backup services.
- Reception and administration duties.
- Greet clients and other visitors.
- Answer phones and handle company inquiries.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and patience when dealing with difficult situations.
- Obtain client information and ensure that all information collected is accurate, which includes entering information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in a timely manner and updating established clients’ information as needed. Ensure client photos are included in their EHR.
- Schedule and verify routine client appointments, reschedule appointments as necessary, notify clients of previous balances, run daily schedules, and schedule return appointments as necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, assist with all filing as needed, collect payment with cash or process credit card payments for services, and provide receipts.
- Balance / Reconcile cash drawer as needed.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a one (1) hour break for lunch.
Work Location: Primary Work Location – Fort Walton Beach (FWB) / Travel to BCI’s Crestview (CV) location is required as needed.
Wage: The wage for this position is $16.00 per hour.
