(BCI) is a comprehensive independent local non-profit psychosocial healthcare provider for all Okaloosa County residents for over fifty (50) years, including those who have historically faced barriers to quality care. Total Client Services Contacts is over 150,000 for both outpatient office visits and in-home visits for insured and uninsured clients.

Founding: Bridgeway Center has long been working toward serving the entire tri-county area. In 1966, Catherine Berridge, the founder of BCI, gathered together in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, with five friends of similar values to start a community-based behavioral health clinic.
