In Memory of Clyde Jackson

Those who knew Clyde were saddened to learn of his passing on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from complications of kidney disease.

We all can learn a lesson from Clyde. If you didn’t know Clyde, here is a brief description of who he was as a person. And if you did know him, then you will enjoy reading about Clyde.

Clyde spent the majority of his work life in the service of others at Bridgway Center Inc. Clyde gave us a daily lesson on being humble, respectful, being kind with a sense of humor and loyalty to his work at Bridgeway Center Inc. (BCI).

A group of us attended his pre-funeral viewing on Friday, August 19 at 4:00PM in Crestview and another group attended his funeral in Baker on Saturday. His family consisted of three daughters; two sons; a total of 11 brothers and sisters as well as eight grandchildren; aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.

We talked about Clyde and his positive spirit he shared with us everyday. Each of us thought to ourselves a story we knew about his friendship. His kindness was a daily gift to others. We all are honored to have known Clyde.

BCI is a whole lot better because of Clyde Jackson. Each of us remembered as we sat in pews how thankful we are for knowing Clyde as a teammate and as a friend. Our prayers are with Clyde’s family.
