MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, nursing or a doctorate in medicine: M.D. Possess a minimum of four thousand hours experience in mental health/rehabilitative direct client services or medical care specific to substance abuse.  A Master’s degree in Human Services, nursing or doctorate in medicine (M.D.) may be substituted for two thousand hours of experience.  A Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) status, a Criminal Justice Addiction Professional (CCJAP) status, or fourteen thousand hours of experience in Human Services may be substituted for a degree that is not in Human Services, but shall not preclude the requirements for a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.  Applicant must be willing to attend Pre-service training within first six months of employment.  Must have a valid FL driver’s license with no major violations and be eligible to pass a State Level II background screening, TB test, and a drug screening.

POSITION SUMMARY:Conducts psychosocial evaluations on persons enrolled in the DUI program. Determines the existence of a possible alcohol or other drug abuse problem; refers to treatment if criteria are met. Has monitoring appointments with Ignition Interlock violators to discuss violations, assists creating a case management plan with client to prevent future violations, and refer client to treatment after 3rd Ignition Interlock violation.  Document all evaluations in the Compliance Manager Software. Reviews and evaluates clientele to determine if they meet statutory eligibility requirements for acceptance in the Special Supervision Program. Meet with and monitors Special Supervision and Ignition Interlock clientele as required per Administrative Rule. Participate in case staffing, peer reviews and clinical supervision requirements. DUI Instructor for Level 1 and Level 2 DUI classes, as needed.
