Welcome to May, the 71st Annual Mental Health Month!
As we continue to adhere to physical social distancing, it is more important than ever that we find ways to connect to and with each other. The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (AFSP) encourages everyone to check in with those they love and have a #RealConvo about mental health - even virtually. Please check out their new page #RealConvo. This page features a calendar of exciting virtual events that AFSP will be hosting across our social media platforms throughout the month.
In 2020, Mental Health America’s theme is “Tools 2 Thrive”. The “Tools 2 Thrive” page provides resources that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase resiliency regardless of their current situation. I especially like the reminder to check in with your family members and friends.
